The Latina Public Service Academy
Less than 1 percent of elected offices nationally are held by Latinas.
This new initiative focuses on engaging high school Latina students with an interest in public service while simultaneously building and supporting an amazing network of Latina professionals that supports the mission. The initiative was launched in November 2013 by Ana Cubas in partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. Based in Los Angeles, Latinas Academy is supported by over 50 advisory board members composed entirely of successful Latina women.
